FABRIC BALLOON ANIMALS

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1.Cut a long strip of jersey fabric about 1m long x 18cm wide.

Step 2. Use a sewing machine to sew the long sides together with a 1cm seam allowance. This will create a long tube with both ends left open.

Step 3. Tie a knot in one end of the tube and start to stuff with hobby fill. You may want to use a ruler or long knitting needle to help push hobby fill down the fabric tube.

Step 4. Begin to assemble balloon animal by following the diagrams below.

Step 5. At each twist point in the diagrams, twist the fabric and secure with stitches using a needle and thread.

Step 6. Then continue to stuff, twist and secure as you work through the diagrams.

Step 7. Once your animal is complete tie off a knot at the end and cut off any excess fabric.

Step 8. If you need to secure any parts of the body to be stronger or sit upright use a needle and thread to secure parts together. Below are the diagrams for a balloon animal Dog and Dinosaur.
