CIRCLE HESSIAN PLACEMAT

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Hessian Fabric by the metre
- Thread to match
- Sewing Needle
- Long bladed scissors
Finished placemats pictured on front have 33cm round centre panel and a 10cm (folded) border frill.
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Cut a 33cm round piece of Hessian, to form the centre of your placemat.
Step 2 - Then cut a 286cm x 10cm strip which will form the border frill.
Step 3 - Take the border piece, and fold it in half to form a 286cm x 5cm strip.
Step 4 - Stitch it to the edge of your centre panel, creating pleats at 3cm intervals.
Step 5 - To secure the frill on the back of the placemat, hand stitch the two pieces together to create a neat finish.
Step 6 - Iron the placemat on a light heat setting, to complete the finished look.
