MINI CROCHET MARKET BAGS
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 4 Seasons Flinders Cotton 8 ply 50g X 1 ball
- 4mm crochet hook or any yarn & recommended crochet hook
- Wool needle for finishing
- Scissors
MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 5cm wide X 8cm tall including handle (using 8ply yarn)
One ball will make approximately 10 bags.
INSTRUCTIONS
ABBREVIATIONS
beg = begin/ningch = chaindc = double crochet, folls = follows, incl = inclusive, rep = repeat,sl st = slip stitch, st/s = stitch/es, tr = treble
BAG BASE
Using 4mm hook, make 4ch and join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring.
1st round - 3ch (counts as first tr), 11tr in ring, sl st into 3rd ch at beg... 12tr
2nd round - 3ch (counts as first tr), 1tr in same st as ch3, 2tr in each tr space. Join with a sl st in 3rd ch at beg... 24tr
Bag Sides - 1st round - 4ch (counts as first tr and 1ch), (1tr, 1ch) in next tr, miss next tr, rep from 10 times, sl st in 3rd ch at beg.
2nd & 3rd rounds - Rep last round twice.
4th round - 1dc in each st, sl st into first dc to join. Do not cut yarn.
HANDLE
1st round - Make 20ch, join to the opposite of the bag with sl st.Work sl st in each 20ch to reinforce handle. Sl st at beg of ch and fasten off. Cut yarn, pull through end.
TO MAKE UP
Sew in ends.
