WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 60cm Printed Canvas
• White Dachshund
• Scissors, matching thread

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Cut 2 squares of 48cm for the body and a rectangle 90 x 18cm for the strap. With right sides together sew 3 sides of the square together with 1cm seam allowance. To create the base, flatten out the bottom and match the side seam to the seam on the bottom. Pin together and mark 4cm down from the point and rule across to form a triangle to create an 8cm base and stitch along the line. Trim seam to 1cm, cutting off the point. Fold the top of the bag over twice to hem 1.5cm then 2.5cm, pin then stitch 5mm and 12mm from the edge.

STEP 2

Fold the strap in half long ways, right side together and sew. Turn to the right side, press flat and top stitch both sides 5mm and 12mm from the edge.

STEP 3

Fold over 3cm of the strap to neaten then pin across the side seams on both sides 5.5cm from the top, see picture. Sew onto the bag securely.
