DIY PINK POM POM KIDS CURTAIN
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bourke Concealed Tab Top curtain in Pink 120x223cm (multiple packs will need to be purchased to fit larger windows)
- Crafters Choice Multicoloured Chenille Pom Pom Pack (we used 1 pack per curtain panel)
- Pins
- Needle and matching coloured thread to the pom pom colours chosen
- Iron & ironing board
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Iron your curtains to ensure all of the folds and creases are ironed out
Step 2 - Using a flat surface, lay out your curtain and place the pom poms in desired location. (We alternated between rows of 3 & 2 pom poms going down the curtain)
Step 3 - Put a pin where the pom pom position is going to be. This will make it easier to remember where you want the pom poms to go while you a sewing them on by hand.
Step 4 - Using matching colour thread, double thread your needle and tie a knot at the end.
Step 5 - Coming from the back of the curtain, thread the needle though the fabric and then through the middle of the pom pom.
Step 6 - Pull tight so the pom pom is close to the curtain fabric, and thread the needle back through the pom pom to the back of the curtain fabric.
Step 7 - Repeat steps 5 and 6 once more.
Step 8 - With the thread on the back side of the curtain, do a couple of small stitches looping the thread through to create a secure knot.
Step 9 - Repeat steps until you have all the pom poms sewn on
Step 10 - Your pom pom curtain is now ready to hang!
