WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Braided Jute Mat Natural
- Fabric Paint
- Paint brushes
- Yarn
- Classic Knit Dual Pom Pom Maker
- Large needle
- Scissors
- Semo Cotton Fringe Trim White
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Lightly draw with a pen or pencil the design or wording you wish to have on your mat.
Step 2 - Use the fabric paint and paint brush to paint over design. You might need to do a few coats. Let the paint dry between each coat.
Step 3 - While the paint is drying, make pom poms using the yarn on the pom pom maker. We made 4, 1 for each corner.
Step 4 - Lay the cotton fringe trim flat around the edges of your mat. Use the large embroidery needle and yarn to sew a running stitch along the braid of the trim attaching it to the mat.
Step 5 - Lastly once the paint is dry use the yarn and large needle to embroider around the painted words and create any other decorative touches. Sew the 4 pom poms onto each corner and your mat is now complete!
