DERIVAN LETTERS & NUMBERS ARTWORK

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 4 x 10x10 inch pre stretched canvases
- 1 x plastic letters stencil
- 1 x tube of Derivan Acrylic Paint
- Titanium White (75ml) - 1 x tube of Derivan Acrylic Paint
- Pthalo Green (75ml) - 1 x tube of Derivan Acrylic Paint
- Yellow Deep (75ml) - 1 x tube of Derivan Acrylic Paint
- Carbon Black (75ml) - 1 x tub Derivan Gel Medium (250ml)
- Palette knife
- Spouncer
- Small paint roller or brush
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Using the paint roller or brush, apply two coats of Yellow Deep paint to two of the canvases, allowing time to dry between coats. Repeat this process with Titanium White paint on the remaining two canvases.
Step 2. Load the spouncer with Carbon Black paint. Place the letter stencil on one corner of a canvas. Dab the paint on the stencil and lift the stencil quickly when finished. Repeat for the remaining three canvass in different corners. Allow to dry.
Step 3. Mix the Pthalo Green paint with the Gel Medium in a 1/10 ratio. This should form a pastel coloured mixture but this will dry to a darker, glossy transparent finish. Place the numbers stencil the canvas partially covering the letters and using the palette knife smooth the paint/gel mixture over part of the stencil. Lift the stencil away carefully and quickly. Repeat for the remaining three canvases. Allow to dry overnight.
