HALLOWEEN DOG CAPE

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Halloween Skulls, Black/White 122cm
• Scissors
• Sewing machine
• Black binding
• Measuring tape

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Take some measurements of your dog to create the pattern template (see reference). You will need neck measurement, along the back, and across the back to determine how big to make the cape.

Step 2. Create your pattern piece on card or paper by using the measurements taken, add 1cm seam allowance around entire template.

Step 3. Trace template off onto fabric and cut 2 pieces.

Step 4. Pin fabric with right sides facing in, and sew around entire piece leaving the neckline open.

Step 5. Snip into seams around the curve to allow for a neat finish.

Step 6. Turn inside out and press flat.

Step 7. Cut binding, allowing enough excess for tying the cape around neck.

Step 8. Pin and sew binding to neckline, tucking the unfinished side of the cape neck between the two binding layers.

Step 9. Once finished, press entire cape.
