How Many AFL Teams Are There?
Currently, there are 18 teams in both the AFL and AFLW, so you'll be sure to find a team you're passionate about. While some supporters inherit their passion for particular AFL teams as a result of family members supporting the team, those new to the game can select from 18 teams. These 18 teams are based all over Australia and include the following:
