Keep satin flat prior to cutting, press out any creases on the reverse side of the fabric, lay out between sheets of tissue when cutting to prevent slipping
Use sharp scissors which will reduce fabric fraying.
Make sure your pattern pieces all run the same way when you cut, the grain and nap reflects with light
It is also recommended that you cut a wider seam allowance than the pattern and overlock lock or faux overlock seams
Fine silk pins are recommended for assembling your cut pattern prior to sewing or use clips
Making a "muslin" or "toile" is recommended for satin, as adjusting the pattern for fit after sewing can be difficult and fabric can show visible marks during sewing
Use a sharp fine needle 60/8 or 70/10 and fuse the seam allowance for best results

Delivery Acceptance

Home delivery orders may be delivered under ‘Authority to Leave’ if the carrier deems it safe to leave items at the delivery address. This is at the carriers discretion. If it is deemed unsafe to leave the items, and no one is home to accept the parcel, a card will be left with instructions on how to collect them from your nearest delivery depot. Once your order has been delivered, Spotlight accepts no responsibility for any damage to, or loss of, your items. If you believe you have not received everything you ordered please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

 

Delivery Times

Orders are typically dispatched within 1 business day. Occasionally, during promotional periods or on weekends, it may take longer.

Standard and Bulky products are delivered weekdays by Singapore Post. Please allow 2 - 5 business days.

Please note that once your order has been dispatched, please track your order through Singapore Post.

If you have not received your order in 3 weeks, please contact our Customer Care Department.

 

Split Delivery

Occasionally, customer’s orders may need to be sourced and supplied by multiple Spotlight locations. If this is the case, then your order will arrive at its destination in more than one consignment and possibly with more than one courier company. The multiple shipping charges are not passed onto the customer. The shipping charge paid at the checkout page of the order will not be exceeded even if multiple deliveries are required.

Returns Information

If you order an item online and it is not of acceptable quality or does not match the description, you can return it to us by taking the item to your nearest Spotlight store. If you are unable to get to a store, please contact our Customer Care Department.
