What you'll need:
- 4 Seasons' Wool Blend Naturals 8ply 100g x 1 ball
- 4m knitting needles x 1pair
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Tape measure
Measurements
Circumference: 62cm approx.
Width: 24cm
Tension
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4mm needles
Instructions
Cowl
Using 4.0m needles cast on 120 sts.
Work 6 rows garter st (all K sts)
Pattern
1st Row - (K5, p5), rep to end.
2nd Row - P4, *(k5, p5), rep from * to last st, p1.
3rd Row - K3, *(k5, p5) rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
4th Row - P2, *(k5, p5), rep from * to last 3 sts, p3.
5th Row - K1, *(k5, p5) rep from * to last 4 sts, k4.
6th Row - (P5, k5), rep to end.
7th Row - K4, *(p5, k5), rep from * to last st, k1.
8th Row - P3, *(k5, p5) rep from * to last 2 sts, p2.
9th Row - K2, *(p5, k5), rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
10th Row - P1, *(k5, p5) rep from * to last 4 sts, p4.
Rep these 10 rows until work measures 24.5cm approx. finishing on a 10th row
Work 6 rows garter st (all K sts). Cast off
Finishing
Block the cowl so it lies flat. Sew the back seam of the cowl using mattress stitch. Fasten off any
ends.
