How should I clean and maintain my dish rack?

Dish drainers or racks should be cleaned regularly, at least a week, to prevent any build-up of soap-scum or mildew. Just wash your dish drainer with warm water and dishwashing detergent solution, allowing it to soak for a couple of minutes. Use a sponge to clean the rack all over, and you can also use a cotton bud or old toothbrush for getting into those tight corners. Please ensure that your rack is rinsed and dried thoroughly prior to use. If you have noticed any mould on your dish draining rack, it is advised that you allow the drainer to soak in warm water and household bleach for around twenty minutes. This will help to ensure that the item has been properly disinfected and no longer harbours any germs.
