INSTRUCTIONS

ABBREVIATIONS

ch = chain,dc = double crochet,dec = dec over next,2 sts = insert hook into st, draw up lp, insert hook into next st, draw up lp, yoh, pull through all 3 lps, inc = 2dc in next st,p/s = loop/s, rem = remain,sl st = slip stitch,sp = space,st/s= stitch/es

Magic Circle = wrap yarn twice around your finger & work a sl st into the lp, slip the lp off your finger and work the first round into the ring (over the two strands), pull the yarn tail to tighten the loop to create an invisible centre.

EGG

Rnd 1: Work 6dc in magic circle, sl st into 1st dc.

Rnd 2: Inc in each dc around (12 dc).

Rnd 3: (1dc in next dc, inc) 6 times (18 dc).

Rnd 4: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 6 times (24 dc).

Rnd 5: (1dc in each of next 3 dc, inc) 6 times (30 dc).

Rnds 6-17: 1dc in each dc around (30 dc). Place foam egg inside cover, base side now. To close cover with egg inside - (dec, 1dc in each of next 3 dc) until 6 sts rem and the egg is covered.

Fasten off and thread end through rem 6 sts, pull closed and sew in ends.
