ANCHOR CUSHIONS
LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Linton Textured Cotton Fabric:
- 1 metre Indigo
- 0.25 metres of White - 0.25m Plain Duck Navy for Piping
- Cotton Piping Cord
- 1 kg Hobby Fill
- Matching Thread
- Tracing Paper (for pattern)
- Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Draw out the template on the tracing paper.
Step 2. Using the Anchor template provided, cut 2x pieces of Linton Indigo for the front and back panels.
Step 3. Cut 1x piece of Linton White in the size 13cmx150cm for the side gusset.
Step 4. Cut 3x 4cmx120cm pieces of Duck Navy for piping.
Step 5. Insert the Cotton Piping Cord in a piece of the Duck Navy fabric and fold over in half.
Step 6. Place the folded Duck in between the gusset and one of the Anchor face panels.
Step 7. Use a zipper foot to sew piping around all edges. This is to ensure that the piping is flush up against the face panel and the gusset.
Step 8. Repeat Step 7 for the back panel.
Step 9. Your cushion should be inside out.
Step 10. Keep a small space (10cm) on the bottom as an opening to fill the cushion. Turn the cushion inside out so right sides are facing out. Use hobby fill to fill cushion until desired firmness.
Step 11. Hand sew the small hole left for filling.
