HOMESPUN THICK AND COZY COWL PONCHO
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Lion Brand Homespun Thick & Quick 3 x 227g balls shade
- One 10mm crochet hook or size required for correct tension
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
INSTRUCTIONS
PONCHO
Using 10mm hook, make 30ch. Foundation row - Miss 2ch, 1htr in next ch, 1htr in each ch to end, turn 28htr.
1st row - 2ch (does not count as a st), 1htr in each htr to end, turn. Rep 1st row until work measures approx 127cm from beg. Fasten off.
Fold work in half lengthways so first and last rows meet. The folded piece should measure approx 56 x 63cm.
Using diagram as a guide and a flat seam, join right side edges tog for 33cm leaving 30cm free for neck opening.
BEG COWL COLLAR
Join yarn to neck opening next to seam, so that RS will be facing for 1st round. Using 10mm hook, 1st round (RS) - 2ch, work 30htr evenly around neck opening, join with a sl st in 2nd ch at beg.
2nd round - 2ch, 1htr in each htr to end, join with a sl st in 2nd ch at beg. Rep 2nd round until Cowl Collar measures 20cm.
Next round - 1ch, 1dc in each htr to end, sl st in 1ch at beg. Fasten off.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends.
