3 STEP CIRCLE SKIRT

Level: Beginner
What you'll need:
- Stable Knit fabric 150 cm wide x 1.7 m
- Elastic 2.5 cm x waist measurement
- Measuring Tape
- Matching Thread
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing Machine
Instructions
- Cut the Fabric - Cut a rectangle for the waistband, measuring hip circumference x 10 cm, ensuring the stretch runs along the width. Fold the remaining fabric in half, then fold it again in the opposite direction to form a square. Cut a circle from the centre of the folded fabric, matching the hip measurement.
- Attach the Waistband - Sew the waistband into a loop. Align the right side of the waistband with the inside of the skirt and stitch using a 1 cm seam allowance. Fold the waistband over to the outside, tuck under 1 cm to conceal the raw edge, and stitch it down, leaving a small opening to insert the elastic.
- Finish the Skirt - Cut a piece of elastic 5 cm shorter than the waist measurement and thread it through the waistband. Secure the ends of the elastic and close the opening. Finish the skirt by hemming the edge with a double-rolled hem.
