What you'll need:
- Polar Fleece Fabric 150 cm wide x length from shoulder to floor
- Measuring Tape
- Matching Thread
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing Machine
Instructions
Reference the downloadable project sheet for project pattern diagrams.
- Prepare the Fabric - Trim off the selvedge from the fabric. Cut two rectangles measuring 20 cm x 10 cm —these will become the sleeves. Then, continue cutting along the edge to ensure it is straight.
- Create the Neckline and Openings - Locate the centre of the fabric along the top edge. From this centre point, measure 10 cm outward on each side. Fold the fabric's sides inwards to meet these marks —this will form the neckline and front opening. Stitch across the top to secure the folds in place.
- Attach the Sleeves - Fold each sleeve piece in half lengthwise and stitch along the long edge to form a tube. Next, cut an opening for the armholes by making a small slit in the folded sides of the body fabric, close to the stitched seam. Attach the sleeves by sewing them into these openings.
