TENSION
22 sts x 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4mm needles
INSTRUCTIONS
BACK
Using 4mm needles, cast on 85 (89-95-101) sts.
Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS).
Work in stocking st (beg with a knit row), until work measures 19 (21-23-25) cm from beg, ending with a purl row.
BEG SLEEVES
Cast on 18 (20-22-24) sts at beg of next 2 rows ... 121 (129-139-149) sts.
Cont in stocking st until work measures 19 (20-22-24) cm from beg of sleeves, ending with a puHrl row.
SHAPE TOP OF SLEEVE AND SHOULDERS
Cast off 18 (20-22-24) sts at beg of next 2 rows, then 14 (15-16-17) sts at beg of foll 2 rows, then 13 (14-15-17) sts at beg of foll 2 rows.
Leave rem 31 (31-33-33) sts on a stitch - holder for Hood.
LEFT FRONT
Using 4mm needles, cast on 43 (45-49-51) sts.
Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS).
BEG PATT
1st row (RS) - Knit.
2nd row - K4, P17 (18-20-21), K2, P1, K2, P17 (18-20-21).
Last 2 rows form patt.

DIVIDE FOR POCKET
Next row (RS) - K20 (21-23-24), turn, cast on 19 (20-22-23) sts for pocket lining, turn, knit to end ... 39 (41-45-47) sts.
Cont on these 39 (41-45-47) sts for left side of left front and pocket lining.
Next row (WS) - P20 (21-23-24), K2, P17 (18-20-21).
Keeping 2 garter sts correct, cont until work measures 8 (9-10-12) cm from beg of pocket, working last row on RS.
Next row (WS) - Cast off 19 (20-22-23) sts, P1, K2, P17 (18-20-21).
Leave these sts on a spare needle.
With RS facing, join yarn to rem sts, knit to end.

I CORDS (make 2)
Using 4mm needles, cast on 4 sts.
1st row (RS) - K4, slip these sts back onto left-hand needle for 2nd row.
2nd row - Pulling yarn firmly across back of work, K4.
Rep 2nd row until work measures 35cm from beg.
Pull yarn firmly across back of work. Cast off.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, join side and sleeve seams. Join hood seam. Sew an i - cord to left and right front edges slightly below neck edge. Slip stitch pocket linings in position to WS of Fronts.
