WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Fabric A - 1.5m Blooming Paisley All Over Sky
- Fabric B - 45cm Blooming Paisley Indigo
- Fabric C - 65cm Blooming Paisley Scroll Indigo
- Fabric D - 40cm Matching Blender
- Fabric E - 95cm Blooming Paisley Mini Mandala
- Fabric F - 60cm Blooming Paisley Large Medallion Multi
- Fabric G - 70cm Matching Blender
- Matching 100% cotton thread
- Rotary cutter, mat and quilters rulers
- Quilting pins, tape measure
- Scissors, seam ripper
- Hand needle
- Sewing machine with 1/4" foot and walking foot
MEASUREMENTS
190cm x 190cm
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Make 4 large squares the same
Please note make centre square in different choice of outer square fabric.
Cut:
5 - 9 inch squares of Fabric A
8 - 7 inch squares - cross cut squares to make 4 triangles of Fabric C
2 - 7 inch squares of Fabric B
Step 2 - Sew triangles together to form squares as pattern shows
Step 3 - Large flying Geese:
20 large flying Geese with fabric A & E:
Fabric E: Cut 10 - 9.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles
Fabric A: Cut 20 - 7.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles
Step 4 - Sew the combined matching fabrics to form the flying geese 8 large flying Geese with fabric F & G:
Fabric G: Cut 4 - 9.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles
Fabric F: Cut 8 - 7.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles
Step 5 - Sew the combined matching fabrics to form the flying geese 4 large flying Geese with fabric C & G:
Fabric G: Cut 2 - 9.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles
Fabric C: Cut 4 - 7.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles
Step 6 - Sew the combined matching fabrics to form the flying geese
4 large flying Geese with fabric B & G:
Fabric B: Cut 2 - 9.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles4
Fabric G: Cut 4 - 7.25 inch squares - crosscut these to make 2 triangles
Step 7 - Sew the combined matching fabrics to form the flying geese
Square Triangles:
Cut 8 - 7.25 inch squares of fabric D & F cross cut these and then join together to make 16 square triangles.
Cut 4 - 7.25 inch squares of fabric A & C cross cut these and then join together to make 8 square triangles.
Cut 2 - 7.25 inch squares of fabric D & G cross cut these and then join together to make 4 square triangles.
Cut 4 - 7.25 inch squares of fabric A & E cross cut these and then join together to make 8 square triangles.
It will make it easier to put all the quilt together if the edges are trimmed neatly on all edges.
Step 8 - Following the pattern grid below. Layout the quilt as it is to be sewn together and work in rows to complete putting the quilt together.
