- 30cm Fabric A - Sea
- 30cm Fabric B - Spearmint
- 30cm Fabric C - Ice Blue
- 30cm Fabric D - Aqua

- 50cm Fabric G - Bluebell (includes binding)
- 30cm Fabric H - Peacock
- 30cm Fabric I - Bonnie Blue

- 2m Prima Homespun Bluebell or fabric of choice
- 2m Legacy cotton/bamboo batting
- Matching Gutermann 100% cotton thread
- Rotary cutter, mat & quilters rulers

- Sewing machine with 1/4" foot & walking foot
All fabrics should be 100% cotton, washed & pressed.
1/4" seam allowance used throughout unless otherwise indicated.
Read all instructions carefully before commencing the quilt.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cutting
All strips are cut across the width of fabric unless otherwise stated.
Note - keep cut pieces of each colour together.
- From Fabric A cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 3 x 21/2" squares - cut 3 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 2 x 21/2" lengths, 8 x 41/2" lengths, 8 x 61/2" lengths and 2 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric B cut 5 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 8 x 21/2" lengths, 8 x 41/2" lengths, 8 x 61/2" lengths and 8 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric C cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 2 x 21/2" squares - cut 2 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 2 x 21/2" lengths, 6 x 41/2" lengths, 6 x 61/2" lengths and 2 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric D cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 2 x 21/2" squares - cut 4 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 4 x 21/2" lengths, 8 x 41/2" lengths, 8 x 61/2" lengths and 4 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric E cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 3 x 21/2" squares - cut 2 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 6 x 41/2" lengths and 6 x 61/2" lengths.
- From Fabric F cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 1 x 21/2" square - cut 4 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 6 x 21/2" lengths, 8 x 41/2" lengths, 8 x 61/2" lengths and 6 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric G cut 3 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 4 x 21/2" lengths, 4 x 41/2" lengths, 4 x 61/2" lengths and 4 x 81/2" lengths - 4 x 21/2" strips for binding.
- From Fabric H cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 1 x 21/2" square - cut 3 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 4 x 21/2" lengths, 6 x 41/2" lengths, 6 x 61/2" lengths and 4 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric I cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 3 x 21/2" squares - cut 2 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 6 x 41/2" lengths and 6 x 61/2" lengths.
- From Fabric J cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 1 x 21/2" square - cut 3 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 4 x 21/2" lengths, 6 x 41/2" lengths, 6 x 61/2" lengths and 4 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric K cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 3 x 21/2" squares - cut 3 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 2 x 21/2" lengths, 8 x 41/2" lengths, 8 x 61/2" lengths and 2 x 81/2" lengths.
- From Fabric L cut 1 x 21/2" strip, crosscut into 1 x 21/2" square - cut 4 x 11/2" strips, crosscut into 6 x 21/2" lengths, 8 x 41/2" lengths, 8 x 61/2" lengths and 6 x 81/2" lengths.
Blocks
Note - All 20 blocks are constructed using the same method and using two colour fabrics.
- Start with a 21/2" in the centre (1st colour).
- Sew a 11/2" x 21/2" strip to top and bottom edges (2nd colour), pressing seams towards strips.
- Sew a 11/2" x 41/2" strip to each side (2nd colour), pressing seams towards strips.
- Sew a 11/2" x 41/2" strip to top and bottom edges (1st colour), pressing seams towards strips.
5. Sew a 11/2" x 61/2" strip to each side (1st colour), pressing seams towards strips. - Sew a 11/2" x 61/2" strip to top and bottom edges (2nd colour), pressing seams towards strips.
7. Sew a 11/2" x 81/2" strip to each side (2nd colour), pressing seams towards strips. - Make up the 20 blocks as in steps 1-7 following the chart below for colour placement.

- Arrange blocks into 5 rows of 4 blocks. Sew the blocks in each row together. Press seams in one direction alternating the direction in each row.
- Sew the rows together matching seams. Press seams in one direction.
11. Layer the backing, batting and quilt top and baste together. Quilt as desired. - Join the 4 x 21/2" binding strips together on the bias to make one long strip. Press in half lengthwise and bind mitering corners. Attach a label or sign and date your quilt.
