Level: Easy
What you'll need:
- 55cm selection of 5 fabrics
- Sewing machine
- Matching thread
- Scissor
- Ruler
Finished quilt size: 105 x 145cm
Instructions
Step 1 - Cut strips of 4 and 1/8-inch strips.
Step 2 - Using your template provided below the instructions and cut out 20 pieces from each of the 5 fabrics.
Step 3 - Layout all your design and how you would like all pieces placed before starting to piece.
Step 4 - You will see as you lay your pieces out that although they are cut on an angle they form
rows of their own.
Step 5 - First sew each row of templates together in long strips, making sure to keep your fabrics all in their correct order.
Step 6 - Once all the first strips are sewn you can then sew each strip to one another lining up the seams as you go so that the pieces of fabric form the hexagon shape.
Step 7 - The edges of the quilt will need trimming to create a neat side edge once all of the piecing has been completed.
Step 8 - Sandwich and quilt.
