INSTRUCTIONS
Cutting Instructions
Cut Black Fabric
28 - 1.5 x 10.5 inch strips
8 - 150cm - 1.5 inch strips
Cut from main variety of fabrics
14 - 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch squares from each of the main 5 fabrics
15 - 6 x 6 inch squares and then crosscut each square to make 30 triangles.
Sewing Instructions
Step 1 - Using your quarter-inch foot piece all of the triangles randomly matching them together in a variety of combinations and press gently, this will make a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch square.
Step 2 - Once all triangles have been sewn together layout 2 of the pieced triangle squares with 2 of the full squares, making 1 large 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch square. You will need 35 of these. You may like to fully layout your quilt as it will appear in case you want to rearrange some squares for variety.
Step 3 - Once all of the larger squares have been sewn together and you have laid them out in the order that you would like them to appear. Piece one row together at a time with a 1 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch strip in between.
Step 4 - Begin piecing each row together placing the oversized 150cm x 1.5 inch strip in between. As you sew each strip to the row trim the black strip neatly at each end of the row, squaring off neatly before adding the next row so you have a well lined-up join.
Step 5 - Complete with adding the strips first to the sides of each of the quilt and then the top and
bottom.
Step 6 - Sandwich and Quilt
When sandwiching your quilt always allow a good 10cm larger on each side of the quilt. Once quilted trim and bind.
