TIPS FOR ABSTRACT PAINTING

Step 1.Start painting without having a set plan in mind. Let the theme or aesthetic appear as you work.

Step 2.Start with lighter or watered down paint and slowly build the colour and textures as you go.

Step 3.Let your hand strokes be free flowing, have the mindset that nothing is a mistake and build on the parts that you are not happy with.

Step 4.Choose colours in an instant and trust your gut. Layer and blend colours in an intuitive way and allow colour to be the driver of your work.
