MEASUREMENTS
Approx 131cm square, excluding fringe.
TENSION
6 sts and 4 rows = 10 cm in Basketweave Pat.
SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS
Trbp = Yoh and draw up a loop around post of next stitch at back of work, inserting hook from right to left. (Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice.
Trfp = Yoh and draw up a loop around post of next stitch at front of work, inserting hook from right to left. (Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice
INSTRUCTIONS
Note - Ch 2 at beg of rows counts as htr throughout.
Ch 79 (multiple of 6 ch + 7).
Foundation row: (RS). 1 tr in 4th ch from hook (skipped ch-3 counts as tr). 1 tr in each ch to end of chain. 77 tr. Turn.
1st row: (WS). Ch 2. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. *1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. Rep from * to last st. 1 htr in last st. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 2. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. *1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. Rep from * to last st. 1 htr in last st. Turn.
3rd row: As 2nd row.
4th row: As 1st row.
5th row: As 1st row.
6th row: As 2nd row.
7th row: Ch 2. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. 1 htr in each st to last 10 sts. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. 1 htr in last st. Turn.
8th row: Ch 2. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. 1 htr in each st to last 10 sts. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trbp around each of next 3 sts. 1 trfp around each of next 3 sts. 1 htr in last st. Turn.
9th row: As 8th row.
10th row: As 7th row.
Rep 7th to 10th rows for pat until work from beg measures approx 113 cm, ending on 8th row of pat.
Rep 1st to 6th rows once more.
Fasten off.
Top Crochet Fringe:
With RS facing, join yarn with sl st to first st of last row of Blanket.
Next row: (RS). Ch 11. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in each ch to end of chain. Skip first st. *Sl st in each of next 2 sts. Ch 11. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in each ch to end of chain. Rep from * to end of row. Sl st in same st at base of last ch. Fasten off.
Bottom Crochet Fringe: With RS facing, join yarn with sl st to first ch at bottom edge of Blanket. Working across opposite side of foundation ch, work as given for Top Crochet Fringe.
