VALLEY YARN BOX JUMPER
Level: Beginner
What you'll need:
- Moda Vera Valley Yarn 8 ply, 150g x 4 balls
- 1 pair 4mm knitting needles or size required to give correct tension
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Tape measure

Actual Size (approx): 130 cm
Length (approx): 70 cm
Sleeve Length: 45 cm
Tension
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4mm needles.
Instructions
Back & Front (Worked in one piece)
Beg Back - Using 4mm needles, cast on 146 sts.
Beg Rib - 1st row (RS) - K2, P2, K2, rep from to end.
2nd row - P2, K2, P2, rep from to end.
Rep 1st and 2nd rows until work measures 2.5cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.
Work in stocking st until work measures 45cm from beg, ending with a purl row.
Tie a coloured thread at each end of last row to mark beg of armholes as there is no armhole shaping.
Cont until work measures 22.5 cm from coloured threads, ending with a purl row.
Next row - K50, P2, (K2, P2) 11 times, K50.
Next row - P50, K2, (P2, K2) 11 times, P50.
Rep last 2 rows until work measures 25cm from coloured threads, working last row on WS.
Next row - K50, cast off 46 sts for neck opening, knit to end.
Tie a coloured thread at each end of last row to mark end of Back.
Beg Front - Next row - P50, turn, cast on 46 sts and rib across these sts, purl to end.
Next row - K50, P2, (K2, P2) 11 times, K50.
Next row - P50, K2, (P2, K2) 11 times, P50.
Rep last 2 rows until work measures 2.5cm from second coloured threads (or same amount of rib rows that has been worked for Back), working last row on WS.
Work in stocking st across all sts until work measures 25cm from second coloured threads, ending with a purl row.
Tie a coloured thread at each end of last row to mark end of Front armholes.
Cont in stocking st until work measures 42.5cm from third coloured threads, ending with a purl row.
Beg Rib - Work in rib for 2.5cm (or same amount of rows as for lower band of Back), ending with a 2nd row.
Cast off.
Sleeves
Using 4mm needles, cast on 130 sts.
Beg Rib - 1st row (RS) - K2, P2, K2, rep from to end.
2nd row - P2, K2, P2, rep from to end.
Rep last 2 rows until work measures 30cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.
Cast off.
Finishing
DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, sew cast off edge of sleeve evenly between 1st and 3rd coloured threads, placing the centre of the sleeve to 2nd coloured thread (fold line for Back and Front). Join side and sleeve seams. Remove coloured threads.
