BACK

Using 6.50mm needles, cast on 47 (53-59-65) sts.

BEG 1 X 1 RIB

1st row (RS) - K2, * P1, K1, rep from * to last st, K1.

2nd row - K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.

Rep 1st and 2nd rows for 1 x 1 rib until work measures 11cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.

Next row (RS) - K2, P1, knit to last 3 sts, P1, K2.

Next row - K1, P1, K1, purl to last 3 sts, K1, P1, K1.

Rep last 2 rows until work measures 29cm from beg, working last row on WS.

Next row - K2, P1, inc in next st, knit to last 4 sts, inc in next st, P1, K2.

Next row - K1, P1, K1, purl to last 3 sts, K1, P1, K1.

Rep last 2 rows once more ... 51 (57-63-69) sts.

Tie a coloured thread at each end of last row for sewing up purposes.

Rep last 2 rows until band measures 16 (17-18-19) cm (slightly stretched), working last row on WS.

Cast off loosely.

SLEEVES

Using 6.50mm needles, cast on 25 (25-27-27) sts.

BEG 1 X 1 RIB

Work in 1 x 1 rib as for lower band of Back until work measures 7cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.

Work in stocking st, inc one st at each end of 3rd row, then in every foll 12th (8th-6th-6th) row until there are 33 (33-31-45) sts, then in every foll 14th (10th-8th-8th) row until there are 37 (41-45-49) sts.

Cont without shaping until work measures 45cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

SHAPE TOP

Next row (RS) - K3, K2tog, knit to last 5 sts, sl 1, K1, psso, K3.

Next row - Purl.

Rep last 2 rows until 13 (15-17-19) sts rem, ending with a purl row.

Cast off 2 (2-3-3) sts at beg of next 4 rows.

Cast off rem 5 (7-5-7) sts loosely.

BELT

Using 6.50mm needles, cast on 4 sts.

1st row - (K1, P1) twice.

Rep 1st row until work measures 195cm from beg. Cast off in rib.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st seam, join shoulder seams, noting the 4 sts cast off on left shoulder is left unsewn. Slip st side edge of back neck band evenly along back neck easing to fit. Sew cast off edge of back neck band to 4 sts cast off on left shoulder. Join side seams from coloured threads (leaving rows below coloured threads unsewn). Join sleeve seams. Sew in sleeves. Tie belt around waist to wear.
