STRIPED CARON CAKES SCARF
Level: Easy
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- "Caron" Skinny Cakes 250g x 1 cake 1st Colour (C1) Baked Alaska and 1 cake 2nd Colour (C2) Blueberry Pudding.
- One pair 4mm knitting needles, or size required to give correct tension.
- A large crochet hook for fringing
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
MEASUREMENTS
Width (approx) cm: 18
Length (approx) cm: 165
TENSION
30 sts x 32 rows to 10cm over patt, using 4mm needles.
INSTRUCTIONS
Using 4mm needles and C1, cast on 55 sts.
Beg Patt -
1st row (RS) - K2, P2, rep from to last 3 sts, K2, P1.
Last row forms patt when repeated.
Cont in patt until work measures 15cm from beg, working last row on WS.
Using C2, cont in patt until work measures 15cm from colour change, working last row on WS.
Cont in patt, working 15cm stripes working last row on WS for each stripe, until work measures 165cm from beg, thus ending with a C1 stripe.
Cast off in patt.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Wind C2 around a piece of cardboard 20cm long and cut along one edge. Using 4 strands of C2 and crochet hook, fringe evenly along cast on and cast off edges. Trim to desired length. Sew ends in towards centre of scarf.
