• 1 x 100g ball - Marvel Soft 8ply
• 4mm knitting needles (or size needed for correct tension)
• 4 buttons
• Scissors, yarn needle, measuring tape

TENSION

21 sts x 42 rows to 10cm over garter stitch using 4mm needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

SLIPPER (make 2)

Using 4mm needles, cast on 32 (40) sts.

1st row - Knit.
2nd row - Knit. Last two rows form garter stitch. Continue in garter stitch (first row is wrong side), until slipper measures 13 (15) cm from beginning ending with a wrong side row.

TOE SHAPING

1st row - K6 (8), K2tog, Sl1, K1, psso, K12 (16), K2tog, K1, Sl1, psso, K6 (8)... 28 (36) sts.
2nd and every alternate row - Knit.
3rd row - K5 (7), K2tog, Sl1, K1, psso, K10 (14), K2tog, K1, Sl1, psso, K5 (7)... 24 (32) sts.
5th row - K4 (6), K2tog, Sl1, K1, psso, K8 (12), K2tog, K1, Sl1, psso, K4 (6)... 20 (28) sts.
7th row - K3 (5), K2tog, Sl1, K1, psso, K6 (10), K2tog, K1, Sl1, psso, K3 (5)... 16 (24) sts.
9th row - K2 (4), K2tog, Sl1, K1, psso, K4 (8), K2tog, K1, Sl1, psso, K2 (4)... 12 (20) sts.
Size 7 - 9 years only...
11th row - K2, K2tog, Sl1, K1, psso, K4, K2tog, K1, Sl1, psso, K2... 16 sts.

Cast off loosely on wrong side.

ANKLE STRAP (make 2)

Using 4mm needles, cast on 60 (80) sts.
Knit 2 rows garter stitch (first row is wrong side).
3rd row - K3, yfwd, K2tog (buttonhole made), K50 (70), yfwd, K2tog (buttonhole made), K3.
4th row - Knit.
Cast off loosely on right side.

TO MAKE UP.

Fold Slipper in half length-ways, using a flat seam, sew cast on edge together to create the back of the heel seam. Fold cast off stitches in half lengthways and sew together forming the toe for the shoe. Now sew together the top of your slipper, for 6 (8)cm. Sew centre of Ankle strap onto the centre back seam of slipper, crossover the ends of the ankle strap across the top of the slipper and pin into position so that they sit comfortably over the top of the foot. Sew on buttons and remove pins, sew in ends.
