- '4 Seasons' Marvel 8ply 100g: 1 ball.
- A 4mm and a 5.5mm crochet hook.
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure.

Note - The tail is worked with two strands of yarn tog throughout.

bptr = back post treble - work a tr around the body (post) of the next st from the side of work away from you, fptr = front post treble - work a tr around the body (post) of the next st from the side of work facing you
INSTRUCTIONS
HEADBAND
Using 4mm hook, make 97ch.
1st row - Miss 3ch, 1tr in each ch to end ... 95 sts.
2nd row - 1ch, 1dc in same st, 1fptr in next st, * 1bptr in next st, 1fptr in next st, rep from * to last st, 1dc in last st. 3rd row - 3ch (counts as 1tr), 1bptr in next st, * 1fptr in next st, 1bptr in next st, rep from * to last st, 1tr in last st.
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows twice more, then 2nd row once. Fasten off.
EARS (make 4 pieces)
Using 4mm hook, make a magic ring.
1st row - 2ch, 7tr in ring, turn ... 7 sts.
2nd row - 3ch, 1tr in same st, 2tr in each st to last tr, 1dc in last tr, turn ... 13 sts.
3rd row - 1ch, 1dc in same st, 1dc in next st, * 2tr in next st, 1tr in next st, rep from * to last st, 2tr in last st, turn ... 19 sts.
4th row - 3ch, 1tr in same st, * 1tr in each of next 2 sts, 2tr in next st, rep from * to last 3 sts, 1dc in each of last 3 sts, turn ... 25 sts.
5th row - 1ch, 1dc in same st, 1dc in each of next 3 sts, 2tr in next st, * 1tr in each of next 3 sts, 2tr in next st, rep from * to last 4 sts, 1dc in each of last 4 sts ... 30 sts. Fasten off.
Complete ears - Place two ears pieces tog and, working through both layers, work 2dc in each st around outside edge. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
TAIL
Using 5.5mm hook and two strands of yarn, make a magic ring.
1st round - 2ch (does not count as a st), 4tr in ring, sl st into tr at beg ... 4 sts.
2nd round - 2ch, 1tr in same st, 1tr in each st around, sl st into tr at beg.
3rd - 10th rounds incl - Rep 2nd rnd.
11th round - 2ch, 2tr in same st, 1tr in each st around, sl st into tr at beg ... 5 sts.
12th - 21st rounds incl - Rep 2nd rnd.
22nd round - 2ch, 2tr in same st, 1tr in each st around, sl st into tr at beg ... 6 sts.
Rep 2nd round until tail measures approx. 50cm or length desired. Fasten off.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Sew side edges of headband tog. Sew ears to back edge of headband, making a small fold on the inner edge of ear as pictured. Sew in ends. Fasten tail to clothing with a safety pin or make a chain using two strands of yarn long enough to go around the waist and tie. Find the middle point and sew the tail onto the chain.
