STAR MOTIF

Rnd 1: 3ch, 15tr in magic circle, sl st into 3rd ch.

Rnd 2: 4ch, (1tr in next st, 1ch) 15 times, sl st into 3^rd ch.

Change olour

Rnd 3: 3ch in same st as sl st, (2tr in 1-ch sp, 1tr in next tr) 15 times, sl st into 3rd ch.

Rnd 4: 1ch, 1dc in same st as sl st, (5ch, sl st into 5^th ch from hook, sk 2 tr, 1dc in next tr, 2ch, sk 2 tr, 1dc in next tr) 8 times, sl st into 1^st dc.

Change color.

Rnd 5: sl st into 5-ch lp, (3ch, 4tr, 3ch, 5tr) in same lp, [1dc in next 2ch sp, (5tr, 3ch, 5tr in next 5ch lp)] 7 times, 1dc in last 2-ch lp, sl st into 3^rd ch.

Fasten off and sew in all ends.

SQUARE MOTIF

Work 8ch, join with sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: 4ch, 5dtr in ring, (3ch, 6dtr in ring) 3 times, 3ch join with a sl st to 4^th ch.

Rnd 2: 4ch, beg cluster over next 5 dtr, 5ch, sl st into 2^nd ch of 3ch-lp, 5ch, cluster over next 6 dtr, repeat from twice and from to once more, join with sl st into 4^th ch.

Sl st along stitches to the top of any cluster.

Rnd 3: (3dtr, 1ch, 3dtr, 2ch, 3dtr, 1ch, 3dtr) in next 3-ch sp of round 1, sl st into top of next cluster, repeat from 3 times, join with a sl st into 1^st sl st, cut off yarn.

Change colour. Join with a sl st at top of any cluster.

Rnd 4: 4ch, 5dtr in same st as sl st, (6dtr, 2ch, 6dtr) in 2-ch sp, 6dtr in sl st at top of next cluster, repeat from twice and from to once more, join with sl st into 4^th ch. Cut off yarn.

Change colour and join with sl st into last sl st.

Change colour.

Change olour.
