KRINGLE SPARKLE 8PLY I CORD TREE DECORATION

LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Value Ball Kringle Sparkle 8 Ply 1 x 50g ball, will make several decorations.
• One pair double pointed 3.75mm knitting needles.
• 1 x 30cm long pipe cleaner
• A 3.50mm crochet hook
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

INSTRUCTIONS

CHRISTMAS TREE

Beg I Cord - Using double pointed 3.75mm needles, cast on 5 sts.
1st row - K5,DO NOT TURN WORK but slide sts to the other end of needle, Swap the needle back to your left hand, bring yarn around back of your work and continue knitting. Rep 1st row until cord measures same length as pipe cleaner (slightly stretched). Cast off.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Carefully thread length of pipe cleaner through centre of I cord, taking care not to catch in knitting. Oversew ends of I cord to fully enclose length of pipe cleaner. Join cast on and cast off edges of I cord tog and mould into a triangle shape. Mould sides of triangle to form branches as pictured. Using a 3.50mm crochet hook, make a length of 30 chain. Fasten off. Sew each end of chain in position to top of tree to form hanging loop.
