• 'Moda Vera' Brighton Cotton Blend 50g 5 x Main Colour (M) Aqua, 5 x 1st Contrast (C1) Purple, 1 x 2nd Contrast (C2) Hot Pink, 1 x 3^rd Contrast (C3) Jade, 1 x 4th Contrast (C4) Orange and 1 x 5th Colour (C5) Apple Green.
• A 3.50mm crochet hook or size required to give correct tension.
• A stitch marker.
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

Beg Base -

Using 3.50mm hook and M, make 2ch.

1st round - 6dc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st in first dc to form a ring.

2nd round 1ch, 2dc in each dc around, join with sl st in first dc ... 12dc.

3rd round - 1ch, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc, rep from * around, join with sl st in first dc ... 18dc.

4th round - 1ch, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, rep from * around, join with sl st in first dc ... 24dc.

5th round - 1ch, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 3dc, rep from * around, join with sl st in first dc ... 30dc.

6th round - 1ch, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 4dc, rep from * around, join with sl st in first dc ... 36dc.

7th round - 1ch, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 5dc, rep from * around, join with sl st in first dc ... 42dc.

8th round - 1ch, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 6dc, rep from * around, join with sl st in first dc ... 48dc.

Next round - 1ch, working into back loops only, 1dc in each dc around, join with sl st in first dc, place marker at end of round.

Beg Sides And Stripe Patt -

Using C1,Next round - 1ch, working into both loops, 1dc in each dc around, join with sl st in first dc. Rep last round in stripes of 1 row C1, 2 rows C2, 2 rows C3, 2 rows C4, 2 rows C5 and 2 rows M. Last 12 rounds form stripe patt for rem. Cont in stripe patt until work measures approx 24cm from marked round, ending with complete stripe.

Beg Handles -

Keeping stripes correct for rem, 1st round - 1ch, 1dc in each of next 41dc, 20ch, miss next 20dc, 1dc in each of next 82dc, 20ch, miss next 20dc, 1dc in each of next 41dc, join with sl st in first dc.

2nd round - 1ch, 1dc in each of next 41dc, 1dc in each of next 20ch, 1dc in each of next 82dc, 1dc in each of next 20ch, 1dc in 41dc, join with sl st to first dc.

Cont in stripe patt (as before), until work measures approx 28cm from marked round, ending with a complete stripe. Fasten off.
