WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 'Abbey Road' Born To Be Wool 100g
• 3 x balls Main Colour (MC) and 1 x ball Contrast Colour (C)
• 1 pair 12mm knitting needles.
• 3 stitch-holders
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

MEASUREMENTS

Width (approx): 7 cm
Length (approx, excluding pom poms): 175 cm

TENSION

Not essential for this project.

INSTRUCTIONS

SCARF

Using 12mm needles and MC, cast on 3 sts.

1st row - Inc knitways in each st ... 6 sts.

2nd row - Purl.

3rd row - Inc knitways in each st ... 12 sts.

4th row - Purl.

5th row - K4, leave rem 8 sts on a stitch-holder. Cont on these 4 sts for first section. Cont in stocking st, beg with a purl row until first section measures 200 cm from beg, ending with a knit row. Break off yarn and leave these sts on a stitch-holder.

Next row - Rejoin MC to 8 sts on stitch-holder, K4, leave rem 4 sts on stitch-holder. Cont on these 4 sts for second section. Cont in stocking st, beg with a purl row until second section measures 200 cm from beg, ending with a knit row. Break off yarn and leave these sts on another stitch-holder.

Next row - Rejoin MC to rem 4 sts, knit to end. Cont on these 4 sts for third section. Cont in stocking st, beg with a purl row until third section measures 200 cm from beg, ending with a knit row. Leave yarn attached to this section. Plait together the three sections, ending with sections in the same order as they began.

Next row - Purl across sts from needle and stitch-holders... 12 sts.

Next row - (K2tog) 6 times ... 6 sts.

Next row - Purl.

Next row - (K2tog) 3 times ... 3 sts.

Cast off rem sts purlways.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends. Using C, make 2 large pom poms and attach securely to each end of Scarf as pictured.
