HESSIAN GHOSTS

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 0.5m Of Plain Hessian Fabric, 120cm, Natural
• Tracing Paper for Pattern
• Matching Thread
• Scissors
• 0.25m Cotton Cord
• White Acrylic Paint
• Black Permanent Marker

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Draw out the pattern on the tracing paper using the below guide. Be sure to add in an extra 3cm seam allowance which has not been added to the below.

Step 2. Cut out the pattern, place onto Hessian fabric and pin down.

Step 3. Cut around pattern, you will be able to get 2 pieces (1 for each side of the ghost) out of the 120cm width.

Step 4. Once both pieces have been cut out, sew the two faces together around the edge of the ghost leaving a 3cm allowance of the outside for the frayed edges.

Step 5. Sew on the cotton cord to the top of the ghost, looping over to be the hanging point.

Step 6. Paint both sides of the ghost with white paint and set to dry.

Step 7. Use a permanent marker to draw on facial features.
