- Round and Loaf Cake Tins
- Large circle cookie cutter (optional)
- Knife
- Spatula
- Over the top buttercream icing
- Cookie scoop
- Assorted sprinkles
- Assorted lollies
- Coloured fondant

INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Bake your favourite cake using a round and loaf tin.
Step 2 - Cut a circle out of the middle of the circle cake (using a cookie cutter can be helpful)
Step 3 - Cut into the cake at 6 and 9 o'clock then rearrange to form the top of the '2' - refer to our Number Cake Diagrams project sheet to see the different ways to create numbers.
Step 4 - Trim the loaf cake to size (if required) and place at base of other cakes to complete the number
Step 5 - Use any buttercream icing (we used yellow Over The Top buttercream) to completely cover the cake
Step 6 - Working in sections add sprinkles to create a colour gradient. Depending on the consistency of the icing you may need to press these into the cake to help them stick
Step 7 - Add lollies within the sections to match the colour sprinkles used
Step 8 - Advanced step: If desired roll out ready-to-use fondant and cut shapes using fondant cutters to add to top of cake.
