ARBEE FELT MONSTER BOOK BAG AND LAPTOP CASE

Instructions

Arbee Felt Monster Book Bag:

Step 1- Use the template to cut out pieces of fabric, cut the tote base, pocket and straps in royal blue felt and the teeth and eyes in white felt.

Step 2- Fold over top edge of pocket by 2cm and stitch along at 1cm placing teeth as marked.

Step 3- Pin Eyes to the front fabric and zigzag stitch around to secure in place.

Step 4- Place pocket on top of front fabric right side up. Place back piece over the top. Stitch around edges and bottom of bag leaving the top of the bag open.

Step 5- Turn in the top of the bag and hem the top edge.

Step 6- Fold in half the straps and stitch along the long edge keeping both ends open.

Step 7- Turn out straps.

Tip: Using a safety pin or loop turner can help to turn the straps inside out.

Step 8- Stitch the ends of the straps to each side of the top of the bag along the same stitch line as the hem otherwise attach straps at the same time as hemming the top of the bag.

Step 9- Using E6000 glue attach multicolored joggle eyes, wait to dry before use.

Arbee Felt Monster Laptop Bag:

Step 1- Use the template to cut out the pieces of fabric, cut the base in emerald green and the teeth and eyes in white felt.

Step 2- Fold the front as marked on the template and stich along to hem.

Step 3- Pin eyes to front as marked and zig zag stitch around eyes to secure.

Step 4- Fold the flap as marked and stitch along hem, pin teeth to edge and sew on whilst hemming.

Step 5- Overlay the flap slightly over the front by 1cm right side up. Place on back piece and pin.

Step 6- Stitch around all four edges.

Step 7- Turn right side out.

Step 8- Using E6000 glue attach multicolored joggle eyes, wait to dry before use.
