How to make bead bracelets

You can make a basic bead bracelet by starting with a length of thread that can be wrapped around your wrist, and then adding a number of different beads to the string. Add a clasp to each end so you can attach and detach the bracelet when you need.

How to tie a bead bracelet

If you don't want to use a clasp and would rather tie your bracelet together, start by stretching your elastic to make it pliable. Cross the ends over and bring one end under the other, then do this again so you have a small chain-like look on the string. Then do this again but go the other way. Tighten carefully so the knot comes together between the beads, then further tighten the knot by pulling on both the tails and the connected bracelet itself. Add a little jewellery glue to the knot to seal it if you like, then move a bead over the knot to hide it.

How to use spacer beads

Spacer beads are the beads used to fill in gaps around your main beads and pendants when making jewellery. Any bead can be a spacer bead, but you'll want to choose beads that don't distract or overwhelm the focus from your main beads. Plan your bead order out beforehand to help you visualise the best way to utilise your spacer beads.
