INSTRUCTIONS

Dog Beanie

Make a magic circle, ch 1.

Round 1 10 dc into ring. Join with sl st.

Round 2 Ch 2 (makes one tr), tr in each st to end, join with sl st. 20 sts.

Round 3 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next st, cont from to end and join with sl st. 30 sts.

Round 4 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next 2 sts, cont from to end ring and join with sl st. 40 sts.

Round 5 Ch 2 (makes one tr), tr into next 4 sts, ch 16, skip 8 sts and join ch with tr st. Tr into next 14 sts, ch 16, skip 8 sts and join ch with tr st. Tr into last 5 sts to end and join with sl st.

Round 6 and 7 Ch 2, tr around the beanie and sl st to join.

Fasten off.

Finishing

Make a pompom and sew to the centre of the beanie.

Cut 6 lengths of yarn, 45cm long, fold in two and hitch knot to the mid point of the ear flap. Plait the yarn to the end, tie a knot and trim edges. Repeat for the other side.

Adult Beanie

Make a magic circle, ch 1.

Round 1 10 dc into ring. Join with sl st.

Round 2 Ch 2 (makes one tr), tr in each st to end, join with sl st. 20 sts.

Round 3 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next st, cont from to end and join with sl st. 30 sts.

Round 4 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next 2 sts, cont from to end and join with sl st. 40 sts.

Round 5 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next 3 sts, cont from to end and join with sl st. 50 sts.

Round 6 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next 4 sts, cont from to end and join with sl st. 60 sts.

Round 7 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next 5 sts, cont from to end and

join with sl st. 70 sts.

Round 8 Ch 2 (makes one tr), 2 tr into next st, tr into next 6 sts, cont from to end and join with sl st. 80 sts.

Round 9-20 Ch 2, tr each st around the beanie and sl st to join.

Fasten off.

Finishing

Optional-Make a pompom and sew to the centre of the beanie.
