CREAM FEATHER TEARDROP FASCINATOR
Level: Intermediate
What you'll need:
- Tear Drop Base (Natural)
- Cream Satin
- 2 x Set of 2 dyed peacock feathers (Natural, 25-30 cm)
- 2 x Set of 2 Ostrich feathers (Natural, 18-22 cm)
- 1 x Feature button
- Matching thread & Sewing Needle
- Pins
- Scissors
Instructions
Step 1 - Cover the base with satin. Slip off the headband to make it easier to finish, then put it back on once covered.
Step 2 - Cut the feathers to the desired length and curl them like curling ribbon by running the back of a pair of paper scissors gently along the spine of the feather.
Step 3 - Arrange the feathers with 2 ostrich feathers and 2 peacock feathers pointing outwards, with the cut ends overlapping in the middle. Wrap the overlap of the feather spines with thread and knot it off.
Step 4 - Sew the feathers onto the satin-covered base and use a button to cover the join.
