What You'll Need:
Jolly & Joy Chain 50g x 7 balls:
Main Colour (M) Red x 3 balls
1st Contrast (C1) GreenJolly & Joy Tinsel 50g x 1 ball:
2nd Contrast (C2) White4.50mm Crochet hook or size required to give correct tension.
Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

Tension
16 tr and 10 rows to 10cm over treble fabric, using a 4.50mm hook and M.
INSTRUCTIONS
Sack (Make two pieces)
Using 4.50mm hook and M, make 89ch.
1st row - Miss 3ch (counts as 1tr), 1tr in each ch to end, turn ... 87tr.
2nd row - (1dc, 1ch) in first tr (counts as 1tr), 1tr in each tr to end, turn.
2nd row form treble fabric when repeated.
Rep 2nd row 4 times ... 6 rows in all.
Beginning Stripe Pattern
Working in stripes of 2 rows C1 and 6 rows M, work a further 54 rows, thus ending with 4 rows of M, turn ... 60 rows in all.
Next row (eyelet row) - (1dc, 1ch) in first tr, 1ch, miss next tr, 1tr in next tr, rep from to end, turn.
Next row - (1dc, 1ch) in first tr, 1tr in next ch sp, 1tr in next tr, rep from to end.
Fasten off M.
Beginning Top Band
Using C2, cont in treble fabric, until band measures 5cm.
Fasten off.
Finishing
DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, join lower and side edges together to form sack, matching stripes. Cut 12 lengths of C2 x 2 metres long. Knot securely together at one end and trim to make a 5cm tassel. Using 4 strands for each section make a plaited cord. Knot securely 10cm from end of cord and trim to form a second 5cm tassel. Thread cord through eyelet row and draw up to fasten.
