CHRISTMAS KNIT BAUBLES

Level: Intermediate
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 'Abbey Road' Wool To Be Wild 100g:1 ball 1st Colour (C1) & 'Milford' Metallic 20g 1 ball 6th Colour (C6).Note - these quantities will make several baubles.
- 1 pair each 4.50mm and 3mm knitting needles.
- Hobby Fill.
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure.

INSTRUCTIONS
BAUBLE
Using 4.50mm needles and C1, cast on 1 st.
1st row (RS) - (K1, P1, K1) in st ... 3 sts.
2nd row - Purl.
3rd row - Inc knitways in each st ... 6 sts.
4th row - Purl.
5th row - Inc knitways in each st ... 12 sts.
6th row - Purl.
7th row - (Inc in next st, K1) 6 times ... 18 sts.
Work 5 rows stocking st, beg with a purl row.
13th row - (Sl 1, K2tog, psso) 6 times ... 6 sts.
14th row - Purl.
Break off C1, leaving a long end.
Change to 3mm needles.
Using C2, work 6 rows stocking st.
21st row - (K2tog) 3 times ... 3 sts.
Break off yarn leaving a long end.
Thread yarn through rem sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.
Make as many baubles as required or yarn allows.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Beg at top of each bauble and using matching colours, join side edges tog to form centre back seam, leaving a small gap for filling. Fill firmly with hobby fill, moulding into shape and close rem section of seam. Cut a 15cm length of C2 and thread through top of bauble. Knot securely into a loop for hanging and trim.
