CHRISTMAS EMBROIDERED CARD
Level: Beginner
What you'll need:
- Francheville A5 Cards
- Crafters Choice Craft large needle
- DMC Embroidery threads
- Embroidery needle
- Silicon Mat or any other craft mat
- Printouts of the designs you want to create.
- Francheville Envelopes
- Masking tape to hold down printouts on card.
- Scissors
- PVA Glue
Instructions
- Decide which design you want to create. Here we have made a 3 branch tree, a wreath, a snowflake, and ornaments. The possibilities are endless.
- Once decided, print your designs out in A5 size, to fit the card.
- Tape the template onto the card you want to embroider on, and place them onto your craft mat.
- Now using the Crafters Choice craft needle, punch holes along the lines you want to embroider. This will change based on the design. For example, for the snowflake all the holes were punched at the intersection of lines, whereas for the wreath, holes were punched along the circumference.
- Now thread your embroidery needle with any DMC embroidery thread of choice and create a knot at one end.
- Keep going along the holes to create a design you are happy with.
- Finish by gluing the back page onto a base.
