What you'll need:
- Sew Easy 60 degrees Triangle Ruler
- 4 x 25 cm of Christmas fabrics
- 1 x 1 meter Christmas fabrics for border, backing and tree
- 1 x 50 cm Christmas fabrics for binding and tree
- Trunk x 1 Fat quarter
- 75 cm White tone on tone for Background
- 1.3 meter Pellon
- Gutermann Thread

Cutting
- For the trees, cut 1 x 2" strips from each fabric
- For the trunk, cut four pieces of 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" from the fat quarter
- From white tone on tone cut eight pieces of 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"
- Cut a 9 3/4" strip of white fabric. Then, using the ruler, cut four large triangles from the strip. Finally, cut large triangles in half to create 8 thinner triangles.
- Cut 8 pieces of 1 1/4" x 9 1/2" from the white tone on tone
- Cut 3 strips of 2 1/2" for the border
Method
- Arrange the strips of fabrics for the tree in a pleasing order and stitch them all together
- After sewing together cut out 4 trees using the 60-degree ruler. Flip the ruler so you have 2 with red at bottom and 2 with Pink.
- Sew the half-triangles onto either side of the 60-degree triangle.
- Sew the 1 1/4" strips on either side of the tree.
- Sew the background 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" either side of the trunk.
- Sew the tree and the trunk together to form the block.
- Sew the trees together with two on either side facing towards the centre.
- Sew the borders on the long sides of the runner.
- Sew the border ends on the runner.
- Press the top onto the Pellon and then lay on the backing and pin baste.
- Quilt as desired using a walking foot or free motion.
- Trim ready to bind.
- Bind table runner using the binding strips. Sew to the back of the runner first then bring to the front and stitch down with a decorative stitch.
