WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 'Lion Brand' Baby Soft x 1 (1-2-2) 140g ball/s Petal.
• A 4mm crochet hook, or size required to give correct tension.
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure.
• A 25mm button.

To Fit Underarm cm: 40-45 (3 Months), 52.5 (6 Months), 55 (12 Months), 60 (2 Years)
Actual Size (approx) cm: 49 (3 Months), 51 (6 Months), 56 (12 Months), 63.5 (2 Years)
Length (approx) cm: 24 (3 Months), 26 (6 Months), 28 (12 Months), 31 (2 Years)

TENSION

16 htr and 12.5 rows over half treble fabric, using a 4mm hook.

INSTRUCTIONS

BACK

Using 4mm hook make 41 (43-47-53) ch.

1st row (RS) - 1htr in 3rd ch from hook, 1htr in each ch to end, turn ... 39 (41-45-51) htr.

2nd row - 2ch, 1htr in each htr to end, turn. Rep 2nd row until work measures 11.5 (12.5-14-15) cm from beg. **

Shape Armholes

Next row - 1ch, sl st in each of next 3 (3-4-5) sts, 2ch, 1htr in same st, 1htr in each htr to last 2 (2-3-4) sts, turn, leave rem sts unworked ... 35 (37-39-43) htr. Rep 2nd row until work measures 24 (26-28-31) cm from beg. Fasten off.

FRONT (make 2 pieces)

Note - Left and Right Front are the same.

Using 4mm hook, make 22 (23-25-28) ch. Work as for Back to **.

Shape Armhole

Next row - 2ch, 1htr in each st to last 2 (2-3-4) sts, turn, leave rem sts unworked ... 18 (19-20-22) htr. Rep 2nd row until work measures 24 (26-28-31) cm from beg. Fasten off.

SLEEVES

Using 4mm hook make 41 (43-45-49) ch.

1st row (RS) - 1htr in 3rd ch from hook, 1htr in each ch to end, turn ... 39 (41-43-47) htr.

2nd row - 2ch, 1htr in each htr to end. Rep 2nd row until work measures 11.5 (14-15-16.5) cm from beg. Fasten off.

COLLAR

Using a flat seam, join shoulder seams leaving 11.5 (11.5 12.5-12.5) cm free at back neck, and 5.5 (5.5-6.5-6.5) cm free on each side of Front for Front neck. With RS facing and using 4mm hook, join yarn with sl st in top corner of Right Front.

1st row (RS) - 2ch, 1htr evenly around Right Front neck edge, back neck edge and Left Front neck edge, turn.

2nd row - 2ch, 1htr in each htr to end, turn. mRep last row until Collar measures 5.5 (5.5-6.5-8.5) cm. Fasten off.

EDGING

With RS facing and using 4mm hook, join yarn in lower corner of Right Front edge.

1st row (RS) - 1ch, work in dc evenly along Right Front edge to beg of Collar, make 5ch (button loop), cont working dc evenly around Collar, then down Left Front edge to lower edge, taking care to keep work flat. Fasten off.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Using a flat seam, sew in Sleeves. Join side and Sleeve seams. Turn back 2 cm at lower edges of Sleeves for cuff and sl st in position. Sew on button to correspond with button loop.
