Pre-wash, dry and flatten your fabric prior to sewing.
Use patterns that call for stretch velour, and have simple lines and less tricky details.
Ensure your pattern and stretch percentage align - if your fabric has less stretch, consider sizing up.
Due to the way the pile is cut, it is important to keep pattern pieces running in the same direction when sewing, otherwise shadowing will be created in your finished garment.
Ideally, the nap should run down your pattern.
Rub your hand across the fabric to identify nap direction, the nap lays down smooth in the direction of the nap.
Ensure to relax your fabric when sewing.
A fine, sharp needle and fine thread should be used when sewing velour.
A roller or walking foot may be beneficial for sewing velour.
Finish raw edges with a serger stitch or encased binding as pile may shed.
Finished garments should be washed inside out prior to wearing.

Delivery Acceptance

Home delivery orders may be delivered under ‘Authority to Leave’ if the carrier deems it safe to leave items at the delivery address. This is at the carriers discretion. If it is deemed unsafe to leave the items, and no one is home to accept the parcel, a card will be left with instructions on how to collect them from your nearest delivery depot. Once your order has been delivered, Spotlight accepts no responsibility for any damage to, or loss of, your items. If you believe you have not received everything you ordered please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

 

Delivery Times

Orders are typically dispatched within 1 business day. Occasionally, during promotional periods or on weekends, it may take longer.

Standard and Bulky products are delivered weekdays by Singapore Post. Please allow 2 - 5 business days.

Please note that once your order has been dispatched, please track your order through Singapore Post.

If you have not received your order in 3 weeks, please contact our Customer Care Department.

 

Split Delivery

Occasionally, customer’s orders may need to be sourced and supplied by multiple Spotlight locations. If this is the case, then your order will arrive at its destination in more than one consignment and possibly with more than one courier company. The multiple shipping charges are not passed onto the customer. The shipping charge paid at the checkout page of the order will not be exceeded even if multiple deliveries are required.

Returns Information

If you order an item online and it is not of acceptable quality or does not match the description, you can return it to us by taking the item to your nearest Spotlight store. If you are unable to get to a store, please contact our Customer Care Department.
