KIDS KNITTED KOALA HEAD BAND
Level: Beginner
What you'll need:
- 4 Seasons Brighton Cotton Blend 8ply 50g x 2 balls MC, 1 ball C1, 1 ball C2
- One set 3.75 mm circular knitting needles or size needed for correct tension
- Scissors, yarn needle, stitch marker, pom pom maker, tape measure
Measurements
To Fit Head: 52 - 54 cm
Tension
22 sts x 30 rows to 10 cm over stocking st, using 3.75 mm needles
Instructions
Reference the downloadable project sheet for project pattern diagrams.
This project is knitted in the round. Use the stitch marker to mark the final stitch at the end of each row.
Using a set of 3.75 mm circular needles and MC cast on 108 sts.
1st round - K1, P1, (rib st) rep from to end.
Rep last round once.
Work 20 rounds stocking st (knitting every round).
Work 2 rows in rib st.
Cast off loosely in rib.
To Make Up
Lightly press on low heat under a cloth if required. Using the graph below and a yarn needle, embroider face onto front of band as pictured, beg 2 rows above lower rib band and finishing 2 rows below upper rib band. Using MC make 2 x 6cm pompoms and attach to either side of the head band as pictured. Sew in all ends.
