WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Cotton Duck Fabric in asparagus, chocolate & cyprus colours.
- Matching thread.
- Polyester fibre for filling.
- Sand for filling.
- Yarns for embroidery.
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Cut the panels of Duck fabric as follows:
PANEL 1 - BODY PANELS
Cut 6pcs Duck Fabric in the asparagus colour as per Pattern 1.
PANEL 2 - LEAF PANEL
Cut 2pcs Duck Fabric in cyprus colour as per pattern 2.
PANEL 3 - STEM PANELS
Cut 2pcs Duck Fabric in the Chocolate colour at 3 x 6cm.
Step 2 - Take all 6 pieces of Panel 1 and stitch them together side by side to make the main body, keeping a small hole at the bottom of any side to fill with sand. When filled stitch the opening closed.
Step 3 - Take the 2 pieces of Panel 2 and Stitch them together to make a leaf, then use the yarn to embroider the leaf lines.
Step 4 - Take the 2 pieces of Panel 3 and stitch them together to make the stem, keeping the bottom open. Turn it inside out, fill the stem with fibre and stitch the opening closed.
Step 5 - Attach the leaf panel to the stem panel, then attach the stem onto the main body panel.
Your Kids Pear Bookend is now ready to use.
