Level: Intermediate
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Your favourite Bundt cake recipe
- 1 x Wiltshire Bundt Pan
- Dark Chocolate or Nutella
- Strawberries
- Wilton Candy Melts in White & Black
- Wilton piping bags
- Wilton white fondant
- Red Gel food dye
- Toothpicks
- Black 12' Cake Board
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Bake your favourite bundt cake.
Step 2 - Melt down your chocolate or Nutella to a runny consistency and pour all over bundt cake to achieve a drip effect.
Step 3 - Use a small knife to cut out mouths from the strawberries.
Step 4 - Melt down the black candy melts and use a paintbrush to cover black across the strawberry hole.
Step 5 - Melt the white candy melts and load into a piping bag. Cut a very small hole and pipe tiny fangs in the strawberry mouths. Allow to set for a few minutes.
Step 6 - Roll out the fondant and make long cylinders to create tentacles. Brush some stripes in with the red food dye and a paintbrush. If you want these to be vertical and stand up in the cake, you will need to do these a day prior and allow to dry.
Step 7 - Fill in centre of the bundt with a few plain strawberries and begin piecing the cake together with the tentacles and strawberries (they may need a toothpick in them to create stability).
Step 8 - Scare ALL your friends with this terrifying treat!
