WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 'Lion Brand' Landscapes 2 x 100g balls
• 1 pair 5.50mm knitting needles
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

MEASUREMENTS

To fit head (approx) 56 cm

TENSION

16 sts to 10cm in width over garter st, using 5.50mm needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

Beanie (worked sideways) Using 5.50mm needles, cast on 50 sts.

Note - When turning bring yarn to front of work,, slip next st onto right hand needle, yarn back, slip st back onto left hand needle, then turn and proceed as instructed, this avoids holes in work.

1st row - Knit to last 2 sts, turn.

2nd and foll alt rows - Knit.

3rd row - Knit to last 3 sts, turn.

5th row - Knit to last 4 sts, turn.

7th row - Knit to last 5 sts, turn.

9th row - Knit to last 6 sts, turn.

11th row - Knit to last 7 sts, turn.

13th row - Knit to last 8 sts, turn.

15th row - Knit to last 9 sts, turn.

17th row - Knit across all sts to end.

18th row - Knit.

Rep rows 1 to 18 incl 7 times more. Cast off loosely knitways, leaving a long length of yarn.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Thread long length of yarn attached onto a yarn needle and using mattress st, join cast on and cast off edges together.
