CUTTING
Step 1 - Cut 2 pieces of main fabric and lining, 25cms wide x 16cms deep.
ASSEMBLY
Step 2 - With right sides facing, pin zip to main fabric ensure zip centred and zip side edge and fabric top edge aligned. Lay lining with the right side fabric the wrong side of the zip, pin in place by repining the 3 layers sandwiched together. Sewing using a zipper foot.
Step 3 - Fold these pieces to the right side, and repeat for the other side of zip with remaining cut case pieces.
Step 4 - Undo the Zip about 5cms. Open out so right sides are the main fabric are facing and aligned and repeat for lining. Pin around all edges. Mark an opening on the bottom edge of the lining in the centre for 7cms. Starting and finishing at this marked opening, sew all around the case using a 1.5cm seam allowance.
Step 5 - Make a corner by folding out corners to make a point and sew across 1cm from sewn point.
Step 6 - Turn to the right size, through the opening in the lining and the zip opening, by opening the zip fully when able. Hand sew the lining opening closed, using an invisible stitch.
Step 7 - Tuck the lining into the case and press both the main fabric and lining away from the zip to avoid getting caught.
Attach optional tassel pull.
